Hrithik Roshan parties hard on birthday

The party at Hrithik Roshan’s Juhu home began on Friday night and continued till the wee hours of the next morning.

It was a three-in-one birthday bash for Hrithik,farah khan  and Farhan Akhtar as the trio cut the cake together at the party attended by their close friends. Farah and Farhan’s b’day was on Jan 9 and Hrithik’s was on Jan 10. So they had a joint celebration on Friday night along with stars like Shillpa Shetty , Mallika Sherawat , Jeetendra and Rishi kapoor , among others.

Babra Mori , who is presently in Mumbai to shoot a song for Kites with Hrithik, was also present with her sister.

For this one evening, Hrithik too decided to let social decorum take a hike and played loud music well past midnight. The blaring music apparently disturbed a few neighbours and one of them rang up the cops. The cops came and told the party revelers to call it a night.

But reports say there was only a brief lull in the party after the police visit. Soon, the music was blaring again and continued so till the wee hours of Saturday morning.

Hrithik and Barbara were to shoot on Saturday morning, but papa Rakesh Roshan  , the producer of ‘Kites’, postponed the shoot till afternoon that day.

Though Hrithik got a couple of good gifts, the best, he says, was from his three-year-old son Hrehaan who gave him a greeting card.

Farah Khan choreographs Hrithik & Barbara in Kites

After choreographing exclusively post-OSO for SRK, Khan adds Hrithik to the list

Farah Khan will be working on her birthday (January 9) and making Hrithik Roshan dance too on his (January 10).

After Om Shanti Om, the fiery Farah had decided to stick to direction and give up choreography for good. Exceptions were only to be made for friends like SRK and Karan Johar.

Fondness calls

But the queen of Bollywood jhatkas will make Hrithik groove for his home production, Kites being directed by Anurag Basu.

A source from the film industry reveals, “When Hrithik approached her she couldn’t refuse. Farah’s very fond of him, as she had choreographed all his songs in his debut film, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai.

Also, she shares a good association with his dad, which is why she did not even discuss money before saying yes. After Hrithik spoke to Farah, Papa Roshan also called her and requested her to do the song.”

The choreographer and Roshan Jr last came together for Dil Na Diya song in Krissh.

Part of narrative

The song composed by Rajesh Roshan will be filmed on Hrithik and Barbara. It is a soft sensuously romantic song, and is part of the narrative. The song is played in the background, so there is no lip sync involved.

Though Anurag Basu, the director of Kites, has choreographed a couple of songs in Kites, this time it was Hrithik, his dad’s and Anutag’s unanimous decision that Farah direct the song as it requires stylised choreography.”

Rakesh Roshan confirms, “Yes, she is choreographing a song in Kites. She has always choreographed at least one song in all of Duggu’s films for our productions.” He adds that she has agreed to choreograph this song as, “We have a special relationship. Farah and we share a warm bond and have mutual respect for each other.”

Michael Jackson visits Hrithik during Kites LA shoot

Looks like Bollywood’s light-eyed hunk, Hrithik Roshan has some Hollywood bigwig fan following. The actor was recently visited by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson himself. Now, that’s some pleasant surprise for someone who’s a big time Jacko fan.

Grapevine has it that Hrithik couldn’t believe his eyes when the ‘Pop King’ walked into his caravan in Los Angeles, where he was stationed for the shooting of ‘Kites’, being directed by Anurag Basu.

Hrithik, who was busy decking up for the next shot stood aghast when Jacko walked in his royal style. A source close to the actor revealed, “Hrithik was in his make-up room when Michael’s two bodyguards entered. He was taken aback to see these burly men enter the room. On questioning them, he learnt that they were Michael’s body guards.”

Hrithik who is often seen following the jazzy Jacko moves for most of his dance sequences was shocked on learning the visitors name.

“Michael introduced himself to Hrithik. It was a funny scene to see someone like him, who the whole world knows introducing himself. The two spoke for a short time and then Michael left”, adds the source.

It is believed that the singer had come to do a recce, as he was to shoot in the same bungalow the following day.

Dance Competition between Hrithik and Kangana in Kites

                       V/S

Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut have been rehearsing for a song for Kites for almost a week at the YRF Studios.

The song, which is a dance competition between Hrithik and Kangana, requires a heavy duty performance from the duo. Rakesh Roshan has specially flown in choreographer, Flexi from the US to train the duo for the high energy number, which has salsa and hip hop.

A source close to the production house said, “Kangana is a great dancer but given Hrithik’s flare for dancing, the grace and perfection with which he performs is unmatched.

Each time Kangana watches Hrithik perform, she is left completely awestruck by her co-star, so much so that in the bargain, she forgets her steps.”

Kangana confirmed the news and said, “Hrithik is a flawless dancer. No matter how difficult the steps are, the intensity and precision with which he performs is unbelievable. I am so amazed by his dancing skills that often I am too stunned to get on with my own steps.”

Kites will be releasing on Diwali ‘09

2.
It’s a bold one

Says Anurag, “It’s a different movie and a bold one which will be entirely shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas and LA. The film is romantic and Hrithik’s character is completely different from what he has played in the past. He is more flamboyant and will be romancing both the Latin actress and Kangana. His character is like a kite which wanders here and there but always flies high.”

Hrithik Roshan’s next film Kites will have a budget of 60 crore which will be a record for a hindi film. So far the most expensive film is Jodhaa Akbar at 50 crore while the most expensive from the Roshan banner was Krrish at 35 crore but Kites will top this.

Hrithik sings for Kites !

Hrithik Roshan has performed dangerous stunts, breathtaking dances and played a perfect lover-boy. Yet there’s more to him, he is now ready to sing for his next film, Kites, directed by Anurag Basu.

Kites will have Hrithik singing an English song. Says a well-placed source from the industry, “Hrithik finished recording a song for Rajesh Roshan last week for his film, Kites. It was Anurag’s and Rajeshji’s idea to persuade Hrithik to sing. Hrithik, known to experiment and go for anything new, loved the idea and agreed immediately.”

However, the king of perfectionism, underwent rigorous training before recording the song. According to our source, just as he had undergone training to get the Urdu diction right before playing Akbar in Jodhaa Akbar, for his character in Kites, he learnt to speak English with an American accent and to sing with that accent too.

Adds our source, “Once it was decided by Anurag, Hrithik and Rakeshji that Hrithik would sing in their film, Hrithik went through a systematic training for voice modulation. He hasn’t been shooting for any film so he had enough time to devote to these sessions and he made the best of them.”

Hirthik has left for Mexico to shoot for the film to be produced by Rakesh Roshan. His uncle, Rajesh Roshan, is the music director. The movie tells the story of a cosmopolitan man torn between his wife and his mistress.

4.

Hrithik gets cozy with Barbara

Latin actress Barbara Mori is the main attraction of Rakesh Roshan’s Kites. For the first time ever, Hrithik has been cast opposite an international actress and so the anticipation is too high. Kites is touted to be one of the most sensuous films made till date as the film is overloaded with sumptuous scenes of Hrithik with his co-star and for the first time, we will get to see Hrithik in a hot avatar. Recently, Hrithik and Barbara had shot a very close scene and Roshan Sr was gently asked to leave the set.

The two sizzle together. This is Hrithik’s most sensuous film to date. The accent here is not only on his dancing but also on his ability to generate sensuality, which has so far remained largely under wraps, the chemistry with Aishwarya Rai in ‘Dhoom 2′ notwithstanding. In ‘Kites’, Basu has shot another more sensuous side of Hrithik,” said a source close to the film.

5.

Hrithik will have thin moustache n beard in Kites

Hrithik who has sported a moustache in Jodhaa Akbar, a tan in Dhoom 2 will now be sporting a beard in Kites! A unit hand of the film revealed, “Hrithik will have a thin moustache and beard in Kites. The actor is looking as great as ever in the look. He has also lost weight to look fitter. He also insists on performing all the stunts by himself.”

6.

Hrithik Roshan babysits Barbara Mori’s kid

Hrithik Roshan has apparently been bonding well with co-star Barbara Mori’s son on the sets of Kites .

While shooting the Anurag Basu -directed film in New Mexico, Hrithik grew so fond of Mori’s son that he reportedly offered to babysit him when Mori was busy giving her shots.The little kid, too, has grown a liking to the charming Bollywood hunk.
Meanwhile, the chemistry between Hrithik and Barbara Mori has been so sizzling during the shoots that papa Rakesh Roshan is often politely asked to leave the sets so that the young couple can perform in no-holds-barred spirit.

After a change in the cinematographer, the film’s unit has now shifted to Las Vegas and Hrithik’s wife Suzanne is expected to join him there with the couple’s younger son Hridhaan.

Rakesh Roshan’s big deal

Lady Fortune seems to be smiling at Hrithik Roshan and Papa Rakesh Roshan as the world rights for their home production Kites is said to have been brought by Eros International for an unprecedented Rs1 billion (USD25 million).

The speculations doing the round also suggests that besides buying the world rights Eros has also bought the music and satellite rights of “Kites”.

But there has been no confirmation on the reports from Filmkraft, Roshan`s production banner, or Eros International.

“It is just a speculation in the market,” a Filmkraft source said on Saturday.

The movie, starring Hrithik Roshan and the US-based Spanish model Barbara Mori, is scheduled to start next month. To be shot mostly in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, it will be directed by Anurag Basu with music by Rajesh Roshan.

The movie revolves around romantic engagements between an Indian boy and a Latino girl, who do not speak each other`s language.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rakesh Roshan has sold Kites, starring Hrithik and Barbara Mori, for Rs 120 crore. So why did he crib about shelling out Rs 2 crore to composer Ram Sampat?
Rakesh Roshan might have lost on a few crores in the Ram Sampat copyright controversy just before his film Krazzy 4 hit the marquee.
But the tight-fisted Roshan needn’t mope about the loss.
It is learnt that the filmmaker has struck a deal to end all deals.
Roshan has sold the rights for his next production Kites, directed by Anurag Basu, to Eros International for a whopping Rs 120 crore.
The film stars Hrithik Roshan with US-based model-actress Barbara Mori besides Kangana Ranaut.
A khabru says, “Rakesh Roshan is ecstatic. He has managed to sell Kites even before it hits the floors.
The amount is the highest-ever a movie has got till date.
The price has been pushed up because Hrithik has no other film lined up for release until Kites releases early next year.
Roshan Sr has received a token signing amount of Rs 10 crore and the rest will be paid as the shooting progresses.”
Roshan, who is back in Mumbai after location hunting in the US for Kites says, “No deal has been done.” But the khabru insists, “The filmmaker and Eros International do not want the deal to be publicised at this stage as it is too early.”
Hrithiks ‘Kites’ Budget At 60 Crore
Hrithik Roshan’s next film Kites will have a budget of 60 crore which will be a record for a hindi film. So far the most expensive film is Jodhaa Akbar at 50 crore while the most expensive from the Roshan banner was Krrish at 35 crore but Kites will top this.
The story idea is Rakesh Roshan’s which has been developed further by Anurag Basu who will also direct the film. The film will star Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut.
The film is a love story.
